The prevalence of chapped lips more than doubles with chemotherapy treatment and whilst chapped lips are often considered trivial, this is not the case as dry lips can easily become cracked, leading to bleeding and the possibility of infection.
Professor RJ Thomas, Consultant Oncology and Head of Research at Bedford Hospital recommends applying a natural oil based lip balm regularly from the start of chemotherapy treatment and we especially love the MooGoo Edible Lip Balm because it doesn't contain Paraffin or Mineral Oil which derive from petroleum, but are commonly found in lots of lip products.
MooGoo don’t think putting the stuff that goes into cars onto lips is the healthiest thing to do, especially when everything on the lips eventually gets eaten - and we agree.
