The 'St. John’s Wort' Factor: Liposourcils Expert contains Hypericum Perforatum (St. John's Wort). While topical application is generally considered safe, some chemotherapy drugs have sensitivities to this herb. Always show the ingredient list to your oncologist before starting.

Skin Sensitivity: Chemo can make the skin on your brow bone very thin or reactive. Perform a patch test on your inner arm for 24 hours before applying it to your face.

Hygiene: If your immune system is compromised (low white blood cell count), be extra careful about the applicator. Do not share the product, and ensure your face is freshly cleaned before use to avoid any risk of folliculitis (infected hair follicles).

Please note: Talika Lipocils Expert contains St John's Wort - listed as its scientific name Hypericum Perforatum Extract. Whilst this product is applied topically (on the skin) and in small amounts, St. John’s Wort is known to interact with certain chemotherapy drugs if taken orally. Always check with your oncologist to ensure they are comfortable with you using a botanical complex containing this ingredient during your specific treatment.

"When I started chemotherapy I would have been more upset if I lost my "eye hair" as well as the hair on my head. On the recommendation of another cancer patient I tried the Talika products, both the Eyebrow Lipocil and Lipocils for the lashes. I began using them at the start of chemo. I did lose some hairs in the brows and lashes but am happy to say I kept enough to prevent looking like an alien. I am still using them post-chemo and they are filling in nicely now. The Eyebrow Lipocils is a very easy product to use but the Lipocils Expert for lashes is slightly trickier. Whether or not it was these products that helped me keep most of my brows and lashes during chemo I could not swear but if I ever go back on chemo I will certainly invest in them again just to be sure."
