Mastectomy Pillow

This versatile mastectomy pillow is a great post-operative support helping to relieve underarm pressure to sensitive surgical areas. It can also be used to brace other painful areas and can help to protect the chest and abdomen from being squeezed by a seatbelt during car journeys. The mastectomy pillow will also help your loved one to find a more comfortable sleeping position - supporting the sensitive area and providing personalised comfort and support.  The heart shaped design is made from super soft, faux velvet and comes with ribbon fastening to help secure the pillow in a comfortable position. Mastectomy pillow is 40 x 27 cm approx and is wipe clean only. Warning: keep away from fire and naked flame. Not suitable for young children due to long ribbons - potential entanglement hazard.
 

iPad Pillow

After surgery your loved one may be recovering for a while. This iPad pillow will allow them to use their device in complete comfort while spending time relaxing on the sofa or cosying up in bed without having to try and balance it on their lap. The soft pillow holds the device steady while you get comfy and makes resting more comfortable by taking the strain off the wrists and neck. Suitable for most iPads, tablets, e-readers and books and accommodates tablets placed vertically or horizontally.

 

Memory Foam Neck Cushion

After surgery your loved one may have difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping position and many people resort to sleeping in an upright position for a short while after surgery. This memory foam neck cushion will enable your loved one to sleep in a number of positions and can support the head and neck if sleeping upright, or can be used to brace other painful areas and is substantial enough to be used as an arm rest or to relieve underarm pressure to sensitive surgical areas. Compression Socks

Compression socks are often used after breast cancer surgery to prevent blood clots developing in the leg. Whilst the standard white NHS compression stockings might not be the most attractive of garments, you can help to brighten your loved one’s day with these funky breast cancer inspired compression socks. They are graduated compression socks (15-20mmHg) to fit calf size 9-15 inches with a non-binding construction and a comfort band. 94% polyester, 3% spandex and 3% other fibres. Machine Washable. This hand sanitising gel with antimicrobial content is suitable for cleaning and protecting hands when it is not possible to use soap and water and is perfect if your loved one is laid up after surgery. Some hand sanitisers can play havoc with our hands from the drying effect of the alcohol, but we have chosen this hand gel because it contains ‘squalane’ derived from a plant source. Squalane is particularly beneficial for soothing dry and inflamed skin conditions such as eczema and is natural, safe, and effective for all skin types. Contains 62% alcohol which guarantees high antimicrobial effectiveness. Dermatologically tested.
