Aromatherapy Soy Wax Candle - Positive Vibes

The combination of clary sage and peppermint essential oils work well together to stimulate relaxation, happiness and positive thinking.

 

Clary sage essential oil can help alleviate stress by inducing a sense of well-being. Soothing and calming, clary sage oil helps bring clarity and feelings of relaxation.

 

There is evidence to suggest that inhaling clary sage aroma can help to reduce blood pressure in stressful situations.

 

It has also been found that clary sage could be beneficial for depression by acting as an anti-stressor and there is some evidence to suggest that inhaling clary sage oil reduced cortisol, the stress hormone, and produced an antidepressant-like effect.

 

Peppermint oil has a powerful yet calming aroma and can help to relieve anxiety. Peppermint oil has also been used to boost energy levels and prevent fatigue.

Soywax and essential oils.

 

Soy wax is made from soy beans which are an eco friendly, renewable, carbon neutral source, unlike paraffin wax which is made from crude oil. Soy wax burns cleaner than paraffin wax and does not release toxins, carcinogens or pollutants into the air.

 

Because soy wax is natural, soy candles do not release petrol-carbon soot that can blacken walls. (If you do notice sooting around the top of your jar, it will be from the burning wick & is not harmful. It may mean that your wick is a little too long and needs manually trimming).

 

Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and because of this, soy candles will burn cooler, slower and longer than paraffin candles. Soy wax is naturally biodegradable making accidental spills easier to clean.

 

Handy Tip:

We have found that placing your candle on a lower surface (coffee table or side table height - but safely out of reach of children or pets) will help with scent throw - heat rises, as does the scent with it, so the lower your candle is, the more of the room it will fill with lovely fragrance.

Mindful Candle Watching:

Candles can be used for a simple but effective mindfulness exercise to help reduce stress and anxiety. Light a candle and simply spend time watching the movement of the flame. As thoughts and feelings arise as they naturally will, just let them come and go, and gently bring your focus back to the candle and the flame.
