We discovered Masumi years ago when we first started looking at chemotherapy headwear. We felt that as a company, Masumi had many brand values that aligned with our own. Masumi Headwear are passionate about the fact that when one loses their hair as a result of cancer treatment, they needn’t lose their own individual sense of style.

Background to Masumi

Before founding the company, Ali Nowroozi worked in the wig industry for 11 years. Whilst doing so, he realised the vulnerability of cancer patients. At the time, he only saw unexciting headwear designs purely with practicality in mind. In looking for an alternative Ali also wanted to help people experiencing hair loss from alopecia, chemotherapy, and cancer. Hence, the idea to launch a range of fashionable, seasonal headwear materialised.

Masumi launch

Ali’s experience in the wig industry proved instrumental during this entire process. He utilised his expertise and set about designing comfortable, elegant headwear. Masumi Headwear launched in 2015 in Manchester, UK, with an unwavering commitment to providing stylish, comfortable, and high-quality headwear for individuals experiencing hair loss. From the beginning, Masumi have prioritised innovation, using soft, organic bamboo and advanced double-layered techniques to create flattering and breathable designs.

Now, as they celebrate their 10th anniversary, Masumi remain dedicated to their mission of empowering those affected by cancer, alopecia, and other medical conditions. As part of this milestone, Masumi are thrilled to expand their global presence with new branches in Connecticut, USA; Leipzig, Germany; and Dubai, UAE —bringing luxurious headwear to even more individuals worldwide.
